True Grit - The Book

The new movie True Grit is based on a book first published in 1968.  Here is the cover of the new edition which we have in the library:



And here is the cover on an early edition. It is a bit different!



I like the new cover best.  What do you think?

    i think i like the new one because it gives more away but so does the original . it's hard to choose but i think overall it would probably be the new one.

    i think the new one some of you may dissagree with this but again it gives me a sense of the characters more realisticly while the other one puts me off a bit not to sound rude or anything it just seems a bit dull -holly

    I like the new one because it is more modern, and the older one has more dull colours and pictures, whereas the new one looks more like what you would see on a movie poster

    i havent read them but the new cover will be more appealing to me because it looks more like a action book
